Cloud & Infrastructure Security Testing

Your infrastructure is the foundation. Make sure it's not the vulnerability.

From cloud environments and internal networks to Wi-Fi access points and firewall configurations – your infrastructure is the layer attackers move through once they’re inside. AMATAS cloud and infrastructure security testing finds those pathways before they become breaches.

Services

Cloud & infrastructure security testing services

Choose the testing type that matches your environment and compliance needs, or combine multiple services for complete infrastructure coverage.

Cloud penetration testing

Manual, expert-led penetration testing of your AWS, Azure, or GCP environment – covering IAM, network security, data exposure, workload vulnerabilities, and lateral movement paths.

Network penetration testing

Internal and external network penetration testing that identifies exploitable vulnerabilities across your servers, devices, and network services – and shows how an attacker would chain them together.

Network segmentation testing

Validation that your network segmentation controls actually work – confirming that traffic between zones, VLANs, and environments is restricted as intended and cannot be bypassed.

Wi-Fi penetration testing

Security assessment of your wireless infrastructure – testing authentication protocols, encryption standards, rogue access point detection, and the risk of wireless-to-wired network pivoting.

Firewall & configuration assessment

Expert review of your firewall rules, ACLs, and network device configurations – identifying overly permissive rules, configuration drift, and gaps that undermine your perimeter defenses.

What sets us apart

Infrastructure testing that goes beyond the scan report

Attack path focus

We don’t just list vulnerabilities – we map how they chain together into realistic attack paths from initial access to critical assets.

CREST-accredited company

All infrastructure penetration tests are conducted under CREST accreditation – meeting the standard required by regulated industries and enterprise procurement.

Actionable reporting

Technical findings for your infrastructure team and an executive summary for leadership – both delivered within agreed SLA.

Remediation testing included

We verify your remediation at no extra cost – confirming fixes are effective before issuing your completion certificate.

Threat landscape

What cloud & infrastructure testing protects against

Misconfigured cloud IAM

Overprivileged roles and policies that allow attackers to escalate from low-privilege access to full cloud environment control.

Lateral movement

Attackers moving through your internal network after initial access — pivoting between systems to reach high-value targets.

Segmentation bypass

Flaws in network segmentation that allow traffic to cross between zones that should be isolated from each other.

Rogue wireless access

Unauthorized Wi-Fi access points or weak wireless authentication that provide attackers with a foothold inside your network perimeter.

Compliance

Standards and frameworks addressed

Our cloud and infrastructure assessments generate the evidence you need for audits and certifications across leading frameworks.

Who it's for

Cloud & infrastructure testing is essential for

Financial institutions

DORA mandates infrastructure security testing for critical financial entities across the EU.

Critical infrastructure

NIS2 requires regular security testing of network and information systems for essential service operators.

Cloud-first organizations

Companies running workloads on AWS, Azure, or GCP that need independent validation of their cloud security posture.

Enterprises with hybrid environments

Organizations managing both cloud and on-premise infrastructure where cross-environment attack paths are a key risk.

FAQ

Cloud & infrastructure testing - common questions

What is the difference between cloud penetration testing and network penetration testing?

Cloud penetration testing focuses on cloud-native attack vectors: IAM misconfigurations, storage exposure, serverless vulnerabilities, and cloud-specific lateral movement paths. Network penetration testing focuses on your traditional infrastructure – servers, network devices, internal services, and the vulnerabilities an attacker would exploit after gaining network access. Many organizations need both, particularly those running hybrid cloud and on-premise environments.

Do you test internal networks as well as external-facing infrastructure?

Yes – we assess both external-facing infrastructure (what’s visible from the internet) and internal networks (what an attacker could access after gaining an initial foothold). Internal network testing is particularly important for identifying lateral movement paths, segmentation weaknesses, and the blast radius of a successful initial compromise.

How does network segmentation testing work?

Network segmentation testing validates that your segmentation controls actually enforce the isolation they’re designed to provide. We attempt to pass traffic between zones that should be isolated – between production and development environments, between PCI cardholder data environments and general networks, or between user segments and administrative infrastructure. The result is a definitive answer to the question: does your segmentation work?

Is Wi-Fi penetration testing relevant if employees mainly work remotely?

Yes – if your offices have Wi-Fi infrastructure that connects to your corporate network, it remains a relevant attack vector regardless of how many employees work remotely. Physical access to a parking lot or adjacent building can be enough. For organizations with minimal office presence, we scope Wi-Fi testing to the locations where it represents real risk – and can advise on whether it’s a priority given your environment.

Not sure which infrastructure test you need?

Talk to one of our experts – we’ll recommend the right scope for your environment, compliance requirements, and budget.
