AMATAS with Two CREST Certifications for Offensive Vulnerability Scanning

[June 19, 2025] European cybersecurity provider AMATAS has reinforced its position as a cybersecurity leader by securing two new CREST certifications: Offensive Vulnerability Scanning (OVS) – Mobile and OVS – Applications. These achievements complement its existing accreditations for Penetration Testing and Security Operations Center (SOC) services, making AMATAS the first and only Bulgarian company with four CREST certifications.

The newly added OVS certifications validate AMATAS’s advanced capabilities in delivering automated and human-verified scanning solutions that identify vulnerabilities across mobile platforms and web applications. These services are essential for organizations seeking continuous threat exposure management and alignment with evolving regulatory requirements.

CREST OVS accreditations are awarded only to service providers that demonstrate secure methodologies, effective risk assessment processes, and strong governance in the delivery of vulnerability scanning services. With these accreditations, AMATAS assures its clients that even automated testing is held to globally recognized standards of reliability, integrity, and security.

This development further underscores AMATAS’s commitment to excellence and its maturity in delivering comprehensive cybersecurity solutions across the EMEA region. The company is officially listed in the CREST Member Registry under ID 8084591–3, with certifications for:

  • Penetration Testing
  • SOC (Application Form)
  • Offensive Vulnerability Scanning – Mobile
  • Offensive Vulnerability Scanning – Applications

“CREST accreditation is a rigorous benchmark. With these four certifications, we demonstrate our dedication to transparency, compliance, and high-quality service delivery, said Marko Simeonov, CEO of AMATAS.

He added: “As the threat landscape evolves, we remain focused on empowering our clients with security services that are not only effective but independently verified.”

“CREST OVS brings together some of the brightest minds in AppSec to improve global application security standards, and we are delighted to congratulate AMATAS for achieving accreditation for both OVS Application and OVS Mobile. As the world continues to digitise and the opportunities for attack increase, it is important that the cyber community supports both industry giants that run application marketplaces and app developers to better protect users across the globe.” said Nick Benson, CEO of CREST.
