Amatas is a leading Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP) based in Bulgaria, specializing in advanced cybersecurity solutions. Our MXDR (Managed Extended Detection and Response) team provides comprehensive SOC (Security Operations Center) as a Service.
Amatas is seeking motivated and talented individuals to join our 3-month internship program within the MXDR team. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of cybersecurity, including SOC operations, OS and network log analysis, email analysis, and forensics. Successful interns will have the opportunity to continue their careers with us in a permanent position, working shifts in our SOC.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the MXDR team in monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security alerts.
- Perform log and network analysis to identify potential security threats.
- Analyze email security incidents, including phishing attempts and malware.
- Participate in digital forensic investigations to support incident response.
- Help manage and resolve tickets generated from various security systems.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance SOC operations and improve security posture.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends and threat intelligence.
Requirements:
- Current enrollment or recent graduation from a degree program in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Strong interest in cybersecurity and a desire to pursue a career in this field.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of network protocols, log analysis, and cybersecurity principles.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity tools and technologies (SIEM, SOAR, IDS/IPS, EDR, etc.) is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work in a team environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
